The Goopy Stuff…

The Goopy stuff…What does that even mean?

Well for me this has several answers. It is the things people don’t want to talk about, its the the things that keep us awake at night, even the things that haunt our dreams. We have to learn to face these sticky situations head on, knowing that God is there the entire time.

It seems in my life I have had to face several ‘goopy’ trials. There have been times in my life that I have wondered where God was. Time always showed me that HE was standing with me thru it all. I encourage those of you who are reading this to share a story of a time when you thought was sticky and messy. How did you find God in that situation, and how can you use this as a witnessing tool? When a few days have passed I will share a story myself. My prayer is that this can be a healing process for all involved. Remember to keep faith, love, hope….and the goopy stuff.

Why should I worry about tomorrow and the things I need? The God who created the universe and the One who holds my future in His hands, promised that He’ll be my Provider.

Do you ever feel so overwhelmed by the lack of people being able to support something for more than a few days?

I am always so blown away by how quickly I see people switch their viewpoints. They change their opinions or they sit on the fence about topics that can change the world. Can we end childhood hunger; Do we need an alternative energy source for future generations; Can one person really change the world???

We have to take a stand for our beliefs or forever be pushed aside by a world, that is lost in sin. Being lukewarm will cause us to be spit from God’s mouth.

“So, because you are lukewarm- neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 NIV

Hmmmmm… gross! I don’t want to be spit out, I’ll leave that to ole Johna. I want to see revival in America, and I really want it to begin in my heart, my house, my city, my church.

My prayer this week is that God works on our hearts, and shows us how to be bold for him.

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU ARE IN A BAD MOOD?

I spend a lot of time outside with my husband. We visit the creek behind our house, and we clean the yard. Another thing I do to change my mood is to talk with God. He has always answered my prayers (even if its not like I wanted) and that comforts me. =)

Thinking….

When I started this blog, my intention was to write as often as I could. HA! That lasted long. The ‘older’ I get though, the more I want to share my thoughts with the world.

Sometimes I wonder what I would be doing, where I would be working, or where I would be living, without the grace of God. He has saved me from my mistakes more times then I care to admit…especially to the public. Isn’t that our problem though? We think that we need to bury our transgressions and not show them to anybody, but God.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 (Taken from the KJV )

As Christians, we should be helping others get on the path towards heaven. The world knows that we are not perfect. Why then, act that way? We need to show people that God has died for ALL of our sins. I have messed up many times, and God has made me stronger, and wiser for it. My prayer this coming month is that I can shine for Jesus, and that He can teach me how to witness with an unconditional love. =)
